I very thankful for Miguel that work at this branch he was amazing and a life saver in so many ways. He was able help me refinance my car and got me a better interest rate and what I needed was able breath he help me lower my payments. He was amazing since am not from town he was very patient and help me with all my documents all over the phone. Which saved me a trip. This be my second time this bank helps me with refinance on my car.To me it a amazing bank. Great job!!! And again thank you Miguel

Have been with this branch for better part of 20 years. The down out way the ups. To start off on the good side. The front counter team has always been nice, when I come in say hi to me by name. Annie how is the best of them all is the only reason this is getting anything over a 1 star rating. She is absolutely amazing cheerful, helpful just great in all ways.
Now on to the branch manager. Mindy I believe. What just a miserable, unhelpful just unpleasant, condescending, disrespectful person. Could not imagine having g to work with her on a regular basis.
I have taken out many loans here till she has taken over and made the process so unpleasant. So much that at one point out of spite I took $75K out of my savings and moved it to a credit union that appreciates its customers. If I didn’t have so many things attached to this account and not want to deal with the hassle of redoing all of it would close this account all together. I will never take out loans here.
Today against my better judgement I went in to get an auto loan and put my daughter on it to build her credit. As soon as we sat down her condescending attitude ramped up. She said here are the rates and that’s if I can even get you qualified. I have a 800 plus score make very good money and have bought many vehicles from cars, motorcycles, and off-road vehicles. She acted like she was doing me a favor by just allowing me to meet with her. I could buy car cash but helping build my daughter’s credit is important.
So I will keep this account open with minimum amount of cash but will never take out a loan with this credit union.
Getting rid of Mindy would be the best for this branch. You can tell even on the faces of the front line staff when she slithers out of her office the mood drops. Never met anyone who hates her customers more than she does.

I applied for an auto loan through their official website and just never heard back. With an 800+ credit score, I easily got rates from competitors and eventually bought a car never hearing back from Weststar. After calling their Reno office several times, I finally got through to a person who told me my application was still pending. The bank doesn't sound legitimate. I froze my credit with all 3 bureaus and I've been monitoring my credit ever since. Look at the other reviews for this place, it's hard to get a hold of anybody and they just don't get back to you if they are real. I wouldn't recommend them

You will never get a call back if you have issues on your account. Bank card won’t decline charges and continuously allows overdrafts. Worst bank! Stay away they are after milking your accounts.

Edit: An hour after this was posted I was messaged that they handled this situation. It was not. They recommend to message but have a terrible response timing. I waited over 2 weeks to speak to anyone and that’s because I had to call after they kept saying someone would call me back. They took advantage of my father who is older and doesn’t understand the bank verbiage.

Directed to a fabulous young lady to open account. So accommodating; so friendly yet professional. The process went well and efficiently. Never such a wonderful banking experience. The entire team work together One, two, three. Excellent.
Had questions and (assume) the manager jumped right in - smoothly and explained my every option. Wonderful experience. The male teller had my Debit card printed before I reached him.
Never had such a wonderful banking experience certainly better than with Wells Fargo.
(But still wonder why "mask before you enter" and "remove mask here for security.")

The people at this location in Reno are the BEST!. Every time I walk in I’m greeted and and feel welcome. Lourdes who is the FRS Financial Service Representative goes above and beyond in every aspect when I need any type of loan. Lourdes, from time to time if I stop by to make a deposit makes sure she lets me know the best deals they have on any loan. I have a checking account, I have previously had a personal loan, I have a refinance car loan, and she recently helped me again with another car loan. During each of these processes she has been profesional and with a great attitude when it comes to the best interest of her clients. She has become trustworthy and is a big asset to WestStar. The tellers at the front desk are very friendly and Annie always has a smile on her face and such a positive attitude.This review is past due but I had to share, how amazing and professional this team has been with my many years of experience at this bank.
