Will Goodwin and Julie Unger at GMFS Mortgage were an absolute pleasure to work with. Everything throughout the process was transparent, and every step of the process was explained to make it very easy to understand.
My mortgage was a bit complicated due tto just returning to the USA after 30 plus years overseas, additional mortgage still open on a previous home, starting a brand new job less then a month prior to Appling for the loan.

I am indifferent about GMFS. I am disappointed that no representative from GMFS put forth effort to meet my wife and I at either closing, nor show any excitement to close the deal (not even a congratulations), which made us feel as they are not personable at all. In todays high interest rate environment, I constantly asked questions about being eligible for a state law to reduce interest rates for active duty military personnel, only to have a quick no, and no further research to be done until I made it a bigger deal on closing day. Now, after we’ve closed and purchased discount points to receive a slightly lower interest rate, someone from their Houston office is actually going to look into it since the loan officer didn’t forward my email with questions. On the positive side, we were able to close with no issues.

Will Goodwin was a terrible agent for this company. I saw constant attempts at customer control NOT customer service. I don't even want to get into the details. There were many issues all the way to the very end.
